Class 5A Division I

The Abilene Cooper Cougars (11-19-1) will face the formidable Amarillo High Sandies (28-4) in a best-of-three series. Game 1 is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m. at Lubbock Cooper High School. Game 2 follows on Friday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at the same venue. A decisive Game 3, if needed, will commence 30 minutes after Game 2.

Meanwhile, the Abilene High Eagles (22-9-1) are poised to take on Lubbock Monterey (18-14-1) in their own best-of-three series.
