Mejuri's Latest Collection: Sustainable Jewelry with Montana Sapphires

Mejuri introduces an expansion to its acclaimed Salmon Gold collection, debuting four exquisite new designs. This latest offering signifies a pivotal moment for the brand, as it marks the inaugural integration of Montana sapphires into its nature-positive jewelry range. These new pieces, comprising two rings, a charm, and a pair of earrings, are set to launch on September 14, reinforcing Mejuri's dedication to sustainable practices and ecological restoration within the fine jewelry sector.

The Salmon Gold initiative, central to Mejuri's ethos, utilizes gold recovered from former placer mine sites across North America. This innovative approach is made possible through a strategic partnership with Regeneration, a social enterprise focused on environmental restoration and metal recovery. Regeneration, supported by the non-profit RESOLVE, works directly with placer miners to rehabilitate damaged river systems, creating conditions favorable for the return of salmon and other migratory fish. Mejuri's significant investment of $1.5 million in Regeneration, as a founding partner and strategic advisor, underscores its commitment to this cause. The gold, while not literally pink or derived from salmon, symbolizes the revitalized ecosystems its recovery helps restore, a narrative Mejuri actively shares with its customers.

A key highlight of this collection is the introduction of Montana sapphires, sourced with full traceability and responsibility directly from Montana. These gemstones, celebrated for their unique green-teal coloration, perfectly complement the Salmon Gold, enhancing the collection's North American heritage. This move represents a significant evolution for the line, following last year's collection that incorporated lab-grown diamonds. Every component of the new jewelry pieces, from the Salmon Gold to the Montana sapphires, adheres to a meticulously traceable supply chain. The gold travels from Regeneration sites to Italpreziosi, a woman-led, B Corp-certified refinery in Italy, where it is refined in small, distinct batches to maintain traceability. Subsequently, trusted artisans in Thailand transform these precious materials into the finished jewelry, each piece stamped with both Mejuri and Regeneration hallmarks, guaranteeing the gold's authentic, nature-positive origin.

Given the nature of its sourcing, which is directly linked to the pace of environmental restoration, Mejuri releases its Salmon Gold capsule collections annually, ensuring each piece is deeply connected to the regenerative process. Nicole Ghosn, Sr. Director of Product Design, highlights the collection's design language, which draws inspiration from the natural fluidity and forms created by water. This artistic direction, characterized by ripples and gentle shifts, reflects a deep connection to nature. Noura Sakkijha, CEO and Co-Founder, emphasizes that sustainability is intrinsic to Mejuri's products, with sourcing choices, invested causes, and natural materials imbuing each piece with profound meaning and value.

The partnership between Mejuri and Regeneration is already yielding tangible results. In 2025 alone, restoration efforts reclaimed 11 acres of upland habitat and revitalized 1,000 linear meters of streams in Alaska and the Yukon. These projects have seen the return of wildlife and provided employment opportunities for members of nearby First Nations. From these restored sites, Mejuri sourced 16.47kg of Salmon Gold in 2025, which underwent batch refinement and traceable manufacturing. Stephen D’Esposito, CEO of Regeneration, praises the power of these partnerships in delivering both community and restoration value, culminating in unique and meaningful jewelry.

Mejuri's collaboration with Regeneration exemplifies its long-standing commitment to sustainability. As a founding and exclusive jewelry partner, Mejuri supports the remediation of historical mine sites, many predating modern environmental standards, thereby restoring crucial salmon habitats and ecosystems. This process not only revitalizes the land but also yields nature-positive metals like Salmon Gold from reprocessed mine waste, pushing the boundaries of what 'sustainable jewelry' can achieve. The new Salmon Gold collection, featuring Montana sapphires, will be available from September 14 on mejuri.com and in Mejuri stores, with prices ranging from $498 to $698 US.
